The story begins in a future era, many years after the events that marked the era of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse. The world has changed, generations have advanced, and the children of those heroes have begun to take their own places in history. Among them are the Knights of the Holy Grail: Galahad, Kardeiz, Llywarch, Lohengrin, and Ysaÿe, a new generation directly linked to the legendary Knights of the Apocalypse. In our story, alongside them, there is a sixth pivotal figure: Evangelín, , a true member of the Goddess race.

Evangelín is neither human nor simply a descendant of the Goddesses. She belongs directly to the divine race. From a very young age, she demonstrated an extraordinary amount of power, far exceeding what was normally expected even of someone belonging to her race. Her magic was primarily related to light and the abilities of Goddesses, and during her youth, she reached a level of power that led many to consider her one of the most important and dangerous people of her generation.

In her original era, Evangelin could manifest a much more powerful divine form. When she reached that state, she could unfurl six enormous Goddess wings and unleash an amount of luminous energy far exceeding what she is currently capable of wielding. That Evangelin was able to protect other knights, confront extremely powerful enemies, and use her gifts to help those around her.

It was precisely because of this power that Evangelin was sent to join the Knights of the Holy Grail. Her purpose was not simply to accompany them or observe their movements. Her mission was to protect them.

The Knights of the Holy Grail were young people who carried an enormous responsibility due to their origins and the era from which they came. Therefore, Evangelin was meant to serve as a kind of additional protection for the group. If any of them were in danger, she was to intervene. If an enemy too powerful appeared, she could face it. If any of the knights lost control of their power, Evangelin could help them.

And, among them all, there was one person with whom she had a particularly deep connection.

Galahad.

Galahad and Evangelin had known each other since they were children.

Long before they became Holy Grail Knights, long before their names held any significance in the story, they were simply two children who grew up together.

Galahad knew Evangelin before she became the powerful Goddess whom everyone would eventually admire. He watched her grow. He watched her learn to control her abilities. He watched her train. He watched her make mistakes. He watched her tire after using too much power. He watched her laugh and get angry. He knew Evangelin when she didn't yet have the responsibility of protecting anyone.

And Evangelin knew Galahad in the same way.

She didn't see him simply as Lancelot's son.

She didn't see him merely as one of the future Knights of the Holy Grail.

For her, Galahad had always been Galahad.

That bond grew stronger over the years.

What began as a childhood friendship eventually blossomed into something much deeper. Galahad fell in love with Evangeline.

And it wasn't fleeting.

Evangeline became the only woman for whom Galahad ever developed true romantic feelings. He never had another relationship or romantic interest that could compare to her. For Galahad, Eva was simply the person who had been by his side for practically his entire life.

That's why, when the time came to travel to the past, Evangeline wasn't just a fellow mission partner for him.

She was the person he loved.

The time travel, however, changed many things.

The Knights of the Holy Grail were sent to the past due to circumstances related to the events surrounding Camelot and the Four Knights of the Apocalypse. In the present, they found themselves in an era that, for them, belonged to the past of their own parents and ancestors. Suddenly, figures who, for them, only existed in family stories or memories of previous generations were alive before them.

Galahad had to face an even stranger situation: encountering his own father, Lancelot.

The journey to the past also meant confronting a reality none of them had ever experienced before.

But for Evangeline, something unexpected happened.

The time travel affected her powers.

She was still a Goddess. Her race hadn't changed. Her divine essence remained within her.

But her power no longer responded in the same way.

The Evangeline of the future could use an enormous amount of light energy. She could reach her divine form and manifest her six wings. She could unleash techniques that would be impossible for her now.

After the journey, all that changed.

Evangeline could still use light magic.

She could still fight.

She could still protect herself.

She was still a Goddess.

But she was no longer able to use her power as before.

Her magic had weakened.

Her attacks were less powerful.

Her stamina had diminished.

And, above all, she could no longer manifest her six wings as she had in the future.

For Evangelín, this was far more painful than others could understand.

Because she had been sent precisely to protect the Knights of the Holy Grail.

That was her purpose.

She had been considered one of the few capable of keeping them safe.

And now, after arriving in the past, she began to wonder if she could truly fulfill that mission.

Evangelín began to feel powerless.

Not because others considered her useless, but because she herself began to feel that she was no longer the same person she had been.

She remembered perfectly what she was capable of.

She remembered how she could manifest her six wings.

She remembered the amount of light she could control.

She remembered how she could intervene in a battle and completely change the outcome.

And now, when she tried to repeat some of those techniques, her body became exhausted much faster.

Sometimes she could use a considerable amount of magic and end up completely drained.

Other times she tried to reach that level of power she once possessed and simply couldn't.

That began to affect her confidence.

Evangelini was still powerful, but she knew she had lost a part of what she once had.

And Galahad knew it better than anyone.

He had known the Evangelini of the future.

He had seen everything she was capable of.

That's why he could immediately tell the difference.

He knew when she was pushing herself too hard.

He knew when she was using more energy than she should.

He knew when she was trying to hide her exhaustion.

And, above all, he knew when Evangelini was beginning to feel useless.

Galahad never considered her useless.

He never thought Evangelini had ceased to be powerful.

To him, she was still Eve.

The same girl he had known since she was little.

The same person he had loved for years.

The same Goddess he had watched grow up.

That's why he began to protect her even more.

Galahad didn't do it because he believed Evangeline was incapable of defending herself.

He knew perfectly well that she could.

He simply knew that she could no longer afford to suffer the same harm as before.

If Evangeline used too much magic, Galahad was there.

If she was exhausted after a battle, Galahad was there.

If an enemy tried to take advantage of her weakened state, Galahad was there.

And if someone touched her with the intention of hurting her, his demeanor could change completely.

Galahad was usually calm.

He could joke around.

He could converse with others.

He could appear confident.

But when Evangeline was in danger, all that calmness vanished.

His first reaction was always to look for her.

"Eva."

If she didn't answer:

"Eva."

If he saw her hurt:

"Eva, are you okay?"

And if she tried to get up, even though she was clearly exhausted:

"Eva, no."

Galahad could be insistent when it came to her.

He couldn't stand to see her hurt.

And he couldn't stand it even more when someone tried to take advantage of her.

If someone hit her, grabbed her, or deliberately hurt her, Galahad could become furious.

He didn't need to shout.

He didn't need to make a scene.

His expression simply changed.

He would stand in front of Evangelín and observe the culprit with a completely different kind of coldness.

Because for Galahad, facing an enemy was one thing.

Seeing someone hurt Eva was quite another.

Despite this, Galahad always tried to respect Evangelín's independence.

He knew she didn't want to become someone who constantly needed protection.

He knew that part of her frustration stemmed precisely from feeling she had lost some of her independence.

That's why Galahad never wanted to make her feel weak.

He didn't want Evangelín to think,

"I can't protect myself."

He wanted her to think,

"I don't have to face everything alone."

That difference was very important to him.

Galahad didn't hide his own problems from her either.

Although he was usually reserved with others, he could talk to Evangelín about what was bothering him.

If something was worrying him, he told her.

If something angered him, he could talk to her.

If he was confused by past events, he sought out Eva.

She was his confidante.

The only one with whom he could truly let his guard down.
