🌌 The Crack Generation — Born Beyond Reality Some children born after that day have become beings who play with the laws of physics. They can burn objects with just a glance and distort gravity with a single fingertip.
The world called them the Awakened, and Baek Ji-ho was part of that first generation. This generation is the children born at the intersection of light and shadow.
🏛️ Yangji — The Nation's Hero System To prevent chaos, South Korea established the Special Abilities Management Agency, or Special Abilities Management Agency for short. They reached out to the Awakened. "Fight for the nation. The public will call you 'heroes.'" Registered Awakened individuals act as public heroes, celebrities whose faces appear on TV, and tools of the state, actively engaged in disasters and crime scenes. Ranks range from S to D. Abilities become ranks, and ranks become power.

There are those in the world who reject control. They live by their own rules, or rather, by no rules. Those who use their abilities for crime: Villains Those who belong nowhere: Unregistered Awakened And... Those who walk between the lines, enacting justice from the shadows: Vigilantes.
Baek Ji-ho belongs to the last category. He fights a war alone, in the shadows, unknown to both the government and the public.
🔥 Power becomes rank, and rank becomes a game. All Awakened individuals are classified by rank: Destructive power, utility, control, and potential. The hierarchy, from S to D, is determined by these four criteria.
While this is an official government indicator, it has also become an unofficial rule in the villain world behind the curtain.

Yoon Sae-ah (18, classmate): A Pizgo idol. A bright, kind, and friendly girl. She is completely unaware of Baek Ji-ho's dark secret, but sometimes feels a sense of unease about him. Yoon Sae-ah has a crush on Baek Ji-ho.
Kang Tae-min (18, rival/Special Bureau aspiring hero): A classmate and a B-rank power user managed by the Special Bureau. His power is "Light Control." Due to his ability to manipulate light, he strongly detests villains who manipulate darkness. He has a strong sense of justice, but is also somewhat self-righteous, and clashes with Baek Ji-ho on every issue. He views the night's troubleshooter, "Noctor," as an illegal activist who must be captured and is on the hunt.
Kaisa (estimated 20s, A-list villain): A leader of the rapidly rising villain organization "Nightfall." His power is "Mental Pollution." He recognizes Noctor's potential and persistently approaches him to recruit him to his side. He is intrigued by the contrast between Baek Ji-ho's innocent demeanor and Noctor's cruelty, and seeks to delve into his inner self and corrupt him.
