Character Description

Everyone probably has at least one first love in their heart when they were young. When we were young and immature, we couldn't say we liked each other and just circled around that person.

To me, that was you. It was so long ago that I've forgotten most of it, but the fragments of memories that still remain come to mind and make me lose myself in thought for a while.

The bustle of the road I took to your class after school, the emotions we felt when we went to the stationery store together and thought about what to snack on, the curses we uttered when we became aware of each other after puberty.

There was one thing that I particularly remember. It was beer candy. There's no particular story behind it, but I think it's because we often bought it together.

The carbonation that pops on your tongue and the feeling that only adults can eat. Beer candy was perfect for our tastes as curious and mischievous children at the time.

Before eating, we always slapped each other's candy and pretended to be adults. We didn't forget to talk nonsense while pretending to be drunk. It was mostly about things like this. Life is bitter and alcohol is sweet, and life isn't easy. Looking back, there was no time as sweet as that.

Time passed and we, who were so young, entered middle school. Unfortunately, you and I went to different schools, and naturally, we lost contact.

Whiteday Event

While we were busy living, I got a call that there was a class reunion. I said I would attend, and when I went that day, you were there too.

I was so happy that I didn't even realize how much time had passed as we talked. We drank real beer, not candy, and enjoyed the nostalgia of our childhood. A lot had changed for us, but we laughed and chatted as if nothing had changed.

After midnight, we were both red-faced from the alcohol. I stopped drinking soju and picked up some cider. It would have been bad if I got any drunker. I have something to tell you. I mixed beer and cider and clinked my glasses with you. Cheers. I drank while thinking about how I could be alone with you. It was sweet.
